CONGOMA LAUNCHES NGO DIRECTORY 2016/2017

As part of the NGO week program, CONGOMA launched the NGO Directory 2016/2017 which has information on all 2016 CONGOMA paid up members. The booklet which is an A5 size will be coming out on a yearly basis outlining the names of NGOs, their contact person, physical address, postal address, emails and phone numbers but also indicating which Sustainable Development goals each NGO is contributing to.

CONGOMA produces an NGO directory as a coordinating tool and a way of providing information about NGOs to the interested stakeholders and the general public. The information in the directory is based on the call the secretariat made to all paid up members to submit their updated information. For NGOs that did not submit updated information, the secretariat added information from their files.

The 5th edition of the NGO Directory has also outlined the Sustainable Development Goals and the Aspirations of the Agenda 2063 of the African Union as a way of helping NGOs to streamline their programs to both SDGs and Agenda 2063.
