NOTICE
ANNUAL GENERAL ASSEMBLY 2021
The Council for NGOs in Malawi, pursuant to Part VIII: General Assembly; of the NGO Act 2000 and pursuant to Chapter 3, Section 17 (1) and (2) of CONGOMA Constitution would like to give notice of holding the 2021 Annual General Meeting as follows:
- DATE : Wednesday, 15 December 2021
- TIME: 8.30 AM
- VENUE: Crossroads Hotel, Lilongwe, MALAWI
- AGENDA
The main items constituting the agenda will include the following:
- Adoption of previous AGM minutes
- Policy Reports from Chairperson of CONGOMA and NGO Board of Malawi
- Presentation of audited Financial Statements for NGO Board and CONGOMA and appointment of Auditors for both CONGOMA and NGO Board
- Elections to fill vacancies of Office Bearers for CONGOMA (Trustees; Governing Council; Finance and Administration Committee and Standards Committee)
- Displays by NGOs and Partners at a fee (those interested should contact Secretariat on the contact details below)
2. ATTENDANCE
As per NGO Act Part VIII and CONGOMA Constitution above, attendance at General Assembly is as follows:
- All Board members of NGO Board and CONGOMA
- All registered NGOs. Only paid up members can vote and be voted
- All others by invitation
3. DOCUMENTATION
All documents to the meeting will be sent in advance to delegates for preparation so that we do not read them at the AGM but instead leave the AGM to focus on resolutions only. These documents including Nomination forms will be sent directly to NGO members and posted on CONGOMA website www.congoma.mw .
