AIESEC is the world’s largest youth-led organ
ization. Since 1948, AIESEC has been responsible for developing high potential young people into globally-minded, responsible leaders. Today, it has a growing global network of over 126 countries and territories, 2,100 offices and over 100,000 active members and 1000,000 Alumni. Itmanages an international internship program that develops practical skills in youth and contributes to communities through leadership, education andvolunteerism.
AIESEC is a leading global student organization accredited by the Department of Public Information (DPI), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organizations (UNESCO) and the International Labour Organization (ILO). AIESEC has Roster consultative status to the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations countries.
AIESEC in Malawi has been registered with the Ministry of Justice, CONGOMA and the National Youth council as a youth-led organization empowering young people with leadership and entrepreneurship skills through its volunteering program.
In December 2015, AIESEC’s young global leaders and representatives from 126 countries and territories gathered at the United Nations Headquarters to promote and drive youth participation in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
About Youth Speak
Youth Speak is a global youth movement and youth insight survey powered by AIESEC. We are focused on understanding the hopes and challenges surrounding the journey
from higher education to employment and sustainable living for young people. Over 100 countries and territories and 4,000 voices was captured in stakeholders across government, business, third sector and educators in letting the voices of young people be heard. This survey will provide decision makers with key insights into a global youth opinion and how we can bridge the gap between young people and decision makers across sectors.
The Youth Speak Survey collects youth insights around the world to understand be9er what young people care about. This survey will provide decision makers (companies, the government, organizations, AIESECers) with key insights to generate projects and actions to impact the world.
The Youth Speak Forum is a premiere event that brings together both young and senior leaders to form a diverse cross-sector and multi-generational space for inspiring conversations around pressing global issues. The forum aims to create an environment to gain new perspectives to create actionable outcomes and projects to push the world forward.
The Youth Speak In Insights is the report that comes out of the Youth Speak Survey and allows AIESEC and the world to take decisions that influence strategy and operations. We, as organization, are in charge of making these insights available to the world.
Format of Sessions
Inspire:
This section of the day is delivered through short and impactful keynote speeches and aims to inspire delegates and help to form their opinions for the rest of the day.
Engage:
Our partner organizations engage with the youth delegates to give new perspectives on issues relating to the forum theme through workshops, conversations and idea generation spaces.
Action:
The youth delegates take their learning and insights from the day into a space where they are able to generate ideas, ask challenging questions and give their opinions on the actions that should be taken towards the theme of the day.
